The Krautkramer USM 36, the latest addition to the USM series, offers advanced specifications compared with other flaw detectors in its class. Its 7-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution can be used entirely for the A-scan, giving excellent image quality.
- IP66 environmental protection
- Designed for heavy industrial sites
- Fast, bright colour LCD display
- Up to 14 hours of continuous operation on rechargeable Li-ion batteries
- Operating temperature 0 °C to 50 °C
- Optional DGS for single- and dual-element probes
Like other flaw detectors in its class, the USM 36 is operated with function keys, but unlike earlier models it has six of them. This makes the instrument very easy to use, and its IP66 rating allows inspections under harsh field conditions.
Data Recording and Connectivity
Besides easy review of A-scans, snapshots, videos and inspection results can be stored. All data can be saved to an SD card for later inspections and transferred to other systems.
A key feature of the USM 36 is its range of connectivity options. Via the VGA output, the screen can be shown on an external monitor or a projector.
Built for Harsh Field Conditions
The USM 36 is IP66 rated against dust and water and operates at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to 55 °C, so it can be used in dusty desert environments, in cold weather and in humid climates. Weighing only 2.2 kg, it runs on battery or mains power.
The Li-ion battery provides at least 13 hours of operation, which can be extended further with the integrated charger.
